California Caregivers helped care for my mom when we were in a serious pinch. John came through quickly with understanding our needs (even coming out to meet them) and quickly finding caregivers that made my mom feel comfortable, and allowed me to know she was safe, day and night. We needed care quickly, and at awkward times and had changing schedules. I was not disappointed, even when they had to find someone very-last minute to care for my mom. My mom and dad were comfortable and satisfied and really really enjoyed almost all of the caregivers. (a few were satisfactory, but most were excellent). If my parents had not moved into assisted living, we would still be using California Caregivers. Thanks John and team.!!

They are VA approved for veterans and their spouses.We used this service when my mom was looking for a caregiver for her friend. CCG was very responsive and helpful, especially considering the circumstances of her friend. The caregiver has been such a huge help and has been an imperative factor in her friend’s daily life. It’s sad that the friend is going through such hard times but luckily CCG was there to help when it was needed. A+++

Mom has Dementia and is stubborn about living in a Nursing home. The Dementia has not diminished her feistiness. I called California Caregivers for help. Now, mom is comfy at home, thanks to the service of California Caregivers. She lives alone and the Caregivers really help out in making her more alert, making sure she eats and showers and all that good stuff. It helps ease the burden of her grown children too. I have nothing to say about California CareGivers, except good stuff! Mom is happy.

Aid & Attendance Benefit
Veteran Affairs offers veterans and their surviving spouses a special tax-free benefit called Aid and Attendance. This benefit is designed to provide financial assistance to help cover the cost of long-term care in the home.
Who Is This Benefit For?
This benefit is for those veterans and surviving spouses who require the regular attendance of another person or caregiver in at least two of the daily activities of living, such as bathing, dressing, eating, toileting and transferring.
We had a great experience, Hoover and his staff were extremely easy to work with. The communication was very straight forward and the care taker was excellent.

Eligibility Requirements
Must have served at least 90 days of active duty with at least one day during a period of war.
Must have anything other than a Dishonorable discharge.
A surviving spouse must have been married to the veteran at the time of his passing.
Must require the assistance of another person to perform some of the daily activities of living.
Must meet income and countable asset criteria established by the VA.
Must be 65 years and older or totally disabled.
Eligible Periods of War
World War II December 7, 1941 – December 31, 1946, inclusive. If the veteran was in service on December 31, 1946, continuous service before July 26, 1947, is considered World War II service.
Korean Conflict June 27, 1950 – January 31, 1955, inclusive.
Vietnam Era The period beginning on February 28, 1961, and ending on May 7, 1975, inclusive, in the case of a veteran who served in the Republic of Vietnam during that period. The period beginning on August 5, 1964, and ending on May 7, 1975, inclusive, in all other cases.
Persian Gulf War August 2, 1990, through date to be prescribed by Presidential proclamation or law.
