One Sacramento-area group is doing something sweet for seniors ahead of Valentine’s Day, and your family can get involved too.

Thousands of Valentine’s Day cards are being created across the Sacramento region for local senior citizens.

Anyone in the area can participate by dropping off a valentine at any of the over 19 participating locations listed here.

Each location has a decorated drop box.

Cards will be collected by Feb 3., and distributed to seniors from Placerville, Auburn, Sacramento, and all the areas in between.

Last year, 4,200 cards were collected. This year the group’s goal is to collect 5,000.
