For years, Sarah Peterson made the trip to Potawatomi Casino in Milwaukee to celebrate her birthday.

Recently, she marked a milestone, turning 106 years old.

On her birthday, Peterson hit the $1,000 jackpot.

Then, later that same week, she won again when the casino’s CEO, Dominic Ortiz, doubled her winnings.

“We’ve welcomed Sarah every year for her birthday and are grateful that she and her family celebrate with us,” Ortiz said. “We were all elated when we heard about her big win and wanted to make her 106th birthday even more special.”

“I’m happy to win this money,” Peterson said. “I don’t know what I’m going to do with it, but I’m going to make a good choice.”

During the birthday celebration, lots of pictures were taken, there was a custom cake and Peterson wore a birthday sash.

“I lived a good life, you know,” Peterson said. “I didn’t drink, I didn’t smoke, I didn’t go to the tavern. I just lived a good life. I took good care of myself.”
